George`s Greek Cafe in Long Beach

Without a doubt, this is one of my faves. Seriously, this is some of the best food you will find in Long Beach. The lamb chops and the gyros are excellent. If you ever find yourself in downtown Long Beach, stop by.

Some good ol fantastic Greek food! I came to long beach for a conference and this was hands down the best food I had while I was there! Friendly staff, a great atmosphere, and holy cow the food was to die for!

good service and the food is pretty good. The server for my order wrong but the food was great and did not really mind enough to dock points from the review. Would really recommend checking it out.

My favorite place to eat Greek food. Great out door dining experience while watching all the people on Pine street and listening to all music at night clubs close by dancing. Romantic spot to take a date. Love when they light the pan of cheese on fire and say Ropa.

The food is amazing and the staff are Awesome! Very friendly, personable. We came in about 20 minutes before closing not realizing. I'm sure he was more than ready to head home. I have no doubt we received the same excellent service and friendly demeanor his first customer of the night received. He even took the time to help my BF conspire a surprise happy birthday for me and a piece of baklava topped with a candlen.. loved it!

I frequent this marvelous restaurant once a month as I love the special atmosphere that is outline this place. The staff is highly loving and experienced. The service is certainly efficient. Also, the food they serve is perfect. I have been there more than once and I was always pleased. The rate is fair. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

I went here for lunch. The wait staff was excellent, orders was taken on time and food was brought out hot and fresh. I was celebrating my birthday and a member of my party made mention of this, so I was brought out a desert and was sung the Happy Birthday Song. It was a great experience and I will be back

Perfect. Just perfect. Ordered saganaki and dolmathes to start. They were delicious. When it came to ordering the main course I knew I couldn't finish a whole plate. The waiter let us split one meal in to two plates! The picture is of half a meal! Made to perfection! The mimosas were great also.

Staff were great and friendly, food was fresh and delicious.

excellent service, excellent food, our server Brian and his co workers made sure our we had everything we needed. Even with my water they made sure it didn't get more than half down and for me I need water to swallow it was a great blessing. Lamb Chops were tender and juicy, amazing hummus and sauce everything was excellent.

Very nice restaurant inside and lovely patio outside. I had Lamb Kebabs with rice and sauteed vegetables. Very good flavors but the lamb chunks were a little tough. My wife had the Lamb Chops (the House Special) and she said they were delicious. Super tender and marinated for days in a flavorful Greek marinade. Baklava for dessert had heavy cinnamon flavor which I liked but my wife thought it was too much like a Cinnabon to be authentic Greek.

This restaurant is amazing and spacious, the food was yummy and the prices were very affordable. quick, productive service and very personal staff. I highly recommend this place.

At the moment you step in this restaurant the waiters give you a good feeling. Very comfortable hosts, it is a happy place to hang out with your friends or with your date. enjoyable cooking, experienced chef de cuisine, competitive pay and attentive service. Highly recommended.

I'm giving 5 stars for the food and the service. I loved this restaurant. Great variety, excellent food and friendly server. Food was good, for a reasonable price- worthy of what you get. I had the stuffed salmon, and my friend had lamb chops. Well-prepared, and tasty, good size portions.

I was introduced to this place when George had the smaller restaurant further down on tying now in the mid-90s.. Customer service is absolutely fantastic. This is a photo of my plate and how I get it every time. It speaks for itself. Yes, it tastes as good as it looks. This restaurant It's simply the best. I love you George &. We love to share a plate of fried calamari and the grilled Salmon with salad and rice was also fabulous today. Highly recommend.

I’ve been coming to George’s for over 15 years. I love the food and the staff is amazing. They have the best lamb chops I’ve ever had in the US! They get the lamb from New Zealand. The Friday special is always a good bet and super flavorful. When I lived closer, I was eating here 2-3 times a week. It is that good!!

Very good restaurant. Waitresses were really nice and attentive to us. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Food was delicious.

I’ve probably ordered the Gyro sandwich/plate 20 times, and I can say with great confidence that there will be many more in the future. The gyro is consistently delicious, the Greek salads are nice, the garlic feta fries are great, and the tzatziki (yogurt sauce) is fresh and fantastic.George can be a little creepy friendly ;p

We've been coming to George's for at least a decade and I decided to have our wedding rehearsal dinner at George's. The staff (especially Ali) were easy, accommodating, and great to work with, and the food was amazing as always. Even on a busy Friday night, they made us feel welcomed and well taken care of!

Great food! It was amazing! The flaming cheese was served flaming at the table and was interactive and fun. There was nothing we ordered that wasn't delectable.

While waiting for a delivery I witness a woman in a yellow jacket, continuously wipe her nose with her hand and not wash it while setting up for deliveries. Gross!

Food was freshly made an piping hot.. mixed drinks were awesome . Establishment did everything possible to accommodate COVID guidelines.

The best food you can expect, even better. I would reccomend dholmas, lentil soup, calamari. Well that is what I had and keep having in some rotation. Delicious.

LOVE the food here! Fillet kebob is delicious. The lemon rice soup is my favorite. Service is always exceptional, prices reasonable.

Yesterday was the first time we went to this place. But It is obviously not the last time. We had a good time with the courteous service, with the exceptional meal and booze and with the decent cost. We will definitely visit there again.

Fantastic, amazing & authentic food. The portions are huge. My friend and I ordered 2 appetizers and split a Grilled Stuffed Steak meal which was hands down delicious. Will definately be back soon!

Few restaurants have lamb chops. Fewer still have GOOD lamb chops. These are the BEST. Not fatty. Very tasty. Seated outside. Staff was very good. Music inside was too loud. When I dine, I like to talk to my companions, not be blasted by a musician who thinks they are at a rock concert. Turn the amplifier down. Play. I will enjoy my food, enjoy speaking with my companions, hear and applaud .

Great food and awesome service. Pandemic social distancing in place with outdoor dining available. I would say roughly 15 are available on their patio.

I am always happy with my choices here. I have never been disappointed they always deliver the food with the same great quality and flavor. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a good meal and to get a little cultured! My favorite is their cheese appetizer the Saganaki, which they light on fire at the table always calls for a good time.

I've only ever ordered delivery from here and the food is amazing! My go to is the filet mignon kabobs, side of fries and the salad or mixed veggies. The yogurt sauce they put with the pita bread is yummy, I'm actually drooling right now. The baklava is delicious too. I highly recommend their food, I have never been disappointed!

The lamb chops are fabulous as is the kleftiko (Friday only). Right in the heart of downtown Long Beach.
